![]() ![]() Back to today’s patch, “Java for Mac OS X Update 5 delivers improved reliability, security, and compatibility for Java SE 6, J2SE and J2SE on Mac OS X.J2SE is no longer being updated to fix bugs or security issues and remains disabled by default in this update. Java for Mac OS X Update 10 delivers improved compatibility, security, and reliability by updating J2SE to _30, and updating Java SE 6 to _26 for bit capable Intel-based Macs. If you have problems with Java 6, contact Apple Technical Support. Java 7 and later versions are not supported by these older versions of Mac OS X. ![]() ![]() Use Software Update available on the Apple menu to check that you have the most up-to-date version of Java 6 for your Mac.
